There’s not much to this one. Literally. Napalm Death’s legendary track “You Suffer”, from their debut album Scum, holds the world record for being the shortest song ever recorded and clocks in at an astonishing 1.316 seconds.

Yes, you read that right!

You might be wondering just how much you can fit into a song that goes for just 1.316 seconds… well the official lyrics read “You suffer, but why?” but even if you concentrate extremely hard and listen very closely we cannot guarantee you will hear any of them.

Songwriter Justin Broadrick has said that the song was created for nothing but comical purposes. He even went so far as to call his own song “utterly retarded”!
