The 10 Greatest Doom Metal Albums Of 2017
There's always room for DOOM!
5. Clouds Taste Satanic – The Glitter Of Infinite Hell
The dirtier, danker, more distastefully demonic cousin of instrumental stoner legends Karma To Burn, Brooklyn’s Clouds Taste Satanic have stunned doom fans with 4 releases over the past 4 years and The Glitter Of Infinite Hell was yet another step towards doom metal nirvana.
This instrumental collective seem incapable of delivering anything less than the finest doom meets stoner metal riffs and a ‘lack’ of vocalist hindered them not one iota.
In fact, the soaring leads of Clouds Taste Satanic act as vocals of sorts, the guitar ably stepping in to replace the void of human projection. It works too, adding an almost subliminal layer that transcended generic instrumental stoner/doom into something else entirely!
