Destroyers Of All – False Idols – Single Review + New Album News!

Portuguese metallers Destroyers of All partner again with Mosher Records for the release of their new album The Vile Manifesto, due for release on February 2nd 2019.

To celebrate the announcement of the new album, the band has premiered their lyric video for “False Idols”.

“The song’s about the atrocities operated by a military unit that performed pseudo science in order to prove a point – and failed”, describes vocalist João Mateus, who also states “the lyric is a heartfelt tribute to all the victims of war.”

Worship Metal Verdict: “False Idols” appears to signal a more streamlined version of a band who, up to now, have built their sound around unfathomably intricate, progressive death metal structures.

While “False Idols” still occupies that same worldly space, Destroyer Of All are undisputedly hoping to enrapture metallers outside of the prog metal sphere and, in doing so, have embraced big fuck-off choruses, aggressive gang vocals and a deadlier, death metal approach.

Fortunately, Destroyers Of All are songsmiths of the highest order and their sleeker approach has resulted in a song packed with chest-beating moments of purer metallic fury.

Heavier than ever, these Portuguese metallers remain an underground secret who deserve to reach a much wider audience! 8/10

The Vile Manifesto‘s cover art was hand drawn by legendary artist Mark Riddick, renowned for his work with bands such as Arch Enemy, Exodus, Morbid Angel, Mortician, The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation and more!

The new album can be pre-ordered at www.destroyersofall.com. Several bundles are available, including different combinations of the album, merchandise and tickets for the presentation show.

The Vile Manifesto is the third release from Destroyers Of All. Their debut EP Into the Fire and  LP “Bleak Fragments” (a previous Worship Metal Album of the Week recommendation) were both critically acclaimed by specialised media around the world.
