Regardless of Jeff Hanneman (R.I.P) and Dave Lombardo’s absence, regardless of how boring “When The Stillness Comes” turned out to be, regardless of whether you feel Slayer’s last great album was released over 25 years ago – we refer of course to 1990’s Seasons In The Abyss – it’s fuckin’ Slayer and you ignore Slayer at your peril!
After all, you can’t really deny yourself the possibility that Repentless could very well be the Thrash release of the year – the title track is a short, sharp shock of relentless golden-age Thrashin’ – and Kerry and Tom deserve a fair chance at proving the naysayers wrong. One thing’s for sure, when its finally released on September 11th, Repentless will answer many of the questions asked of this legendary band since Jeff Hanneman’s sad passing.
We’ll be ready with open minds and open wallets waiting to hear what these Thrash masters have in store for us this time round!

So many big releases in such a short space of time, what with Motorhead and Ghost in the next week or so and a new Rammstein live DVD is always cause for celebration, i’d sooner have a new album though.
