Uncivil War – S.I.N – Single Review

Thrash!

UNCIVIL WAR – featuring former members of Kreator, Hirax, Morbid Saint, Whiplash and Massacre – recently completed and mixed three songs for their debut EP. All 3 songs will be released to the public in the next several weeks, and while we’ve already had the pleasure of hearing  “Regardless of Consequence” it’s now the turn of “S.I.N”….. which you can check out below!

S.I.N is a 6 minute old-school thrash epic which opens with a particularly warming acoustic intro that soon descends into a mid-paced bludgeoning; a raw, vicious beatdown of almost doom-like stature which chills the bones. The ‘thrash’ then kicks your teeth loose as Uncivil War’s pumped-up staccato pummelling unleashes a mid 80’s crossover attack that ups the aggression and the speed, with Joe Cangelosi going suitably ape-shit behind the kit.

A song of disparate styes and a raw as fuck atmosphere, “S.I.N” is ugly and primal…..and we can pay no higher compliment than that! 8/10

Uncivil War will be back in the studio later this year to concentrate on recording new material for a full length album and planning some live shows which will undoubtedly bring the thrash fury!!
