On January 21st 2022, Italian hard rockin’ heavy metallers EDGE OF FOREVER return with their 5th album, Seminole….an album overflowing with fist-raising anthems and suitably European bombast!

Bold as brass opener “Get Up On Your Feet Again” flies out of the gates and, obligatory ballad aside, Edge Of Forever never look back. Leaning more on melodic metal than hard rock, there’s enough crunch to Aldo Lonobile’s (Secret Sphere, Archon Angel) riffs to keep the metal purists happy, while those who seek out the Rainbow-esque grandeur of prime 70’s epic rock will relish the likes of “Wrong Dimensions” and “On The Other Side Of Pain”.

Seminole peaks with its self-titled mini-suite, a four part semi-progressive piece that echoes with intricate vocal harmonies, soaring choruses, powerful rhythms, chugging riffs and a story of hostility cast through the lens of a Seminole warrior, amidst the American conflict which waged off and on between 1816-1858. An emotive journey, Edge Of Forever‘s skill at telling expansive tales via exhilarating rock/metal could be no better exemplified than on this intoxicatingly visceral closing salvo. 7/10
