Whats New

For fans of Terror, Brutality Will Prevail....

Hardcore punk/metal heavies Dead Town Nothing have been noticeably on hiatus for a few years but they are now ready to return….just perhaps not in the manner expected!

You see Dead Town Nothing have metamorphosed into a new beast, still recognisably them but re-born and re-christened as H.O.U.N.D.S and they are primed to bounce back in a big way.

But why the change?

Until a few years ago, Dead Town Nothing were pushing hard and touring regularly before disaster struck and the brakes went on, the result of a sobering personal loss which led the band to stop, take stock and re-evaluate their position.

They did, in fact, go their separate ways until just 2-3 months ago when the band were invited to play July’s 2021’s Helly Fest (Sandown Airport, Isle of Wight) and they compulsively said yes, they’d play. But first, the band had to fully emerge from the darkest of periods which has led Dead Town Nothing / H.O.U.N.D.S down a different path, with not all of the original band members returning and the band needing to evolve in order to remain fresh and current.

Now is deemed the perfect time to embrace these gradual changes with the official transition from Dead Town Nothing to H.O.U.N.D.S confirmed on 11/09/2020, a new single in the pipeline (to hopefully be released this side of Xmas) and the re-release of previous material (including their outstanding album Consequences, and the “Bully” single) under the name of H.O.U.N.D.S – the Dead Town Nothing Tapes. With this trajectory, H.O.U.N.D.S are honouring their past while embracing the future; less of a full stop and more a fitting shift into a new chapter.

  • H.O.U.N.D.S – the Dead Town Nothing Tapes is available on all streaming platforms NOW!

Songs that were written for Dead Town Nothing (but were never released) will now see the light of day under the H.O.U.N.D.S banner – new material, new name, same intensity and conviction – and so, with momentum building, H.O.U.N.D.S are hanging up the shirts and ties and getting heavier, dirtier even, and channeling their aggressive style into hardcore metal akin to Terror, as opposed to the punkier style of old.

While Dead Town Nothing may be gone, H.O.U.N.D.S live on!
