If, and this is mere conjecture, Corey Taylor plans on Stone Sour becoming his primary focus then that just won’t cut it. Stone Sour are good, Slipknot are world-beating and while the two co-exist perfectly harmoniously, the continuation of Stone Sour in place of Slipknot would be unthinkable.

Corey Taylor has his side projects – an endless array of artistic side projects in fact – but fans will always demand he return to his rightful place as Slipknot frontman….even if that means slowly altering the Slipknot live show to reflect the band’s growing (ahem) maturity and continuing with Stone Sour etc in his downtime.
