Worship Metal’s 4-Word Reviews – Marilyn Manson – We Are Chaos

This elder goth statesman ia an agent provocateur no more!

The Facts:

Reviews of Marilyn Manson’s eleventh studio album have been generally favourable but we’re not entirely sure what they’ve been listening to. We Are Chaos is Manson-lite, with big bad Brian attempting to channel Bowie for all his worth and sounding the most accessible he’s ever been in the process. While an undoubtedly mature record, the ‘danger’ is long gone and that leaves us with precious little to cling on to.

Worship Metal’s 4-Word Review:

God. Of. Fuck(ing). Nothing. 5/10

For Fans Of:

Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie.

Recommended Tracks:

You could take a punt on “Don’t Chase The Dead” in all it’s Heroes-era Bowie splendour but it’s hardly chaotic enough to warrant overdue attention.

Release:

Marilyn Manson’s We Are Chaos was released on September 11, 2020 by Loma Vista Recordings and Concord Music.
