A thrash epidemic is on the cards....

Veteran UK thrashers Virus are primed to turn 2016 into their year!

With a new line up solidified (Coke Finlay – Vocals/Lead guitar, Andy Kimmet-Bass, Paul Randall- Lead guitar, Pete Garrow- Drums) and a new album due to land this year – their first in 27 years(!) – 2016 is shaping up to be the year of the Virus.

Virus will also be recording a new single in early 2016 along with a video to go with it. The song is entitled “Inspector Gadget” and will be a lighthearted track for all the thrash family. Virus mainman Coke Finlay stated on Facebook that it’s “sounding great & really showcases the talent of the new guys…….support Virus in 2016 & watch the video when it comes out……mosh till you drop”

Forming in 1986, Virus would go on to release an album a year over the next 3 years culminating in 1989’s Lunacy, their greatest achievement and an album that deserved wider acclaim.

Capable of matching any of the 2nd tier American Thrash bands, their bass-heavy, gritty and hyper-fast Thrash should have reached a wider audience; a case of British Thrash being overlooked in favour of the American contingent. Sacrilege!

Virus are a band with a fearsome live reputation and the time has come for them to again make some serious noise within the thrash scene \m/
