The Passing Of A True Legend

Source // resources1.news.com

Worship Metal are incredibly sad to hear that Sir Christopher Lee, an icon of Horror (and in his later years, Heavy Metal) has passed away aged 93.

Responsible for bringing to life many of Literature’s iconic figures, he was also a true Heavy Metal fan and lent his operatic bass tone to works by Manowar and Rhapsody Of Fire before recording his full Metal debut in 2010, entitled Charlemagne: By The Sword And The Cross. A fully-fledged Symphonic Power Metal concept album, Charlemagne was followed by the harder, more metallic Charlemagne: The Omens of Death and the Metal Knight (EP ) 3 years later.

Officially the oldest performer in the history of Heavy Metal, Sir Christopher Lee’s mesmerising presence on screen and forceful baritone on record will be sorely missed. R.I.P.

About Chris Jennings (1987 Articles)
I love metal. Always have. Always will. As editor of Worship Metal - a site dedicated to being as positive about metal and its myriad of sub-genres as possible - my aim is to 'worship' metal through honest reviews, current news and a wide variety of features; offering the same exposure to underground bands as we do to mainstream/well known acts. Our mantra; the bands are partners and we exist to serve the bands \m/
