PRAY U PREY formed in Autumn 2014 with the sole intention of laying down some of the most brutal and blisteringly fast death metal/grindcore the UK has ever produced! Need proof? Just check out our review of debut EP Black Light Of Time and new video, “Psychodrama Peepeshow“.

With over 30 years recording & gigging experience between the various band members, it wasn’t difficult to come up with an EP’s worth of songs and within six months, the band had a MCD ready to go and an incendiary live set to boot!

PRAY U PREY then entered the studio in the summer of 2015 and tracked their debut recording. Garnishing great reviews from all over the world, the band gathered great momentum and finished that year with a fantastic review in TERRORIZER magazine and a handful of well attended shows.

Fast forward to 2016 and the band holed-up at PUP HQ to gather material for a full length debut album. The band spent six months writing & honing the songs and came up with eleven brand new sucker-punches of low end brutality!

PRAY U PREY –  based in Cheltenham, England – features members of such luminaries as UK Thrashers SUICIDE WATCH, UK Grind legends PROPHECY OF DOOM and noize-mongers ALEHAMMER!! So expect debut album, titled Figure The 8 (SelfMadeGod Records), to be a heady mix of brutal riffs, breakneck speed and lyrics to blow your media-weakened mind!!
