Cerebral Fix Have Pulled The Plug

Source // Cerebral Fix

Worship Metal were sad to hear that legendary UK crust punk/thrashers Cerebral Fix have pulled the plug on a career that has spanned over 30 years. This is a damn shame as 2016’s Disaster Of Reality – Cerebral Fix’s first album in 24 years – was a huge return to form and saw the band reclaim their crown as UK crossover thrash pioneers.

Unfortunately, circumstances appear to have stalled their progress with guitarist Tony Warburton releasing the following statement:

“Fix Fans!!

It’s been a tough decision to make, but after a long time of thinking it over, I have decided to pull the plug on Cerebral Fix. We shall, for the foreseeable future, no longer be an active band.

I will not discount the band ever reforming in the future, but for now we have come to an end with the band.

There are many reasons to be honest, but with Andy having to leave because of his health, and with my mother dying in October, and my father being in hospital for the last 8 weeks, as he is in the advanced stages of Parkinson’s disease. I have just not had the time to audition, or even track down a replacement drummer. Even if I did find a drummer, I just don’t have the time to rehearse. It’s as simple as that.

I feel bad for holding on this long to make this decision, because it would have held back Neil, and Nigel in whatever they want to do.

So I personally would like to thank Andy Baker, Gregg Fellows, Chris Doss, Neil Hadden, Nigel Joiner, Simon Forrest, Steve Watson, Dave Sanchez and Simon Reeves for their invaluable contributions to what is one of my favourite Fix albums; Disaster Of Reality.

The Album is still available through Xtreem Music: http://www.xtreemmusic.com/shop

Just Search For Cerebral Fix in the website’s store.

Secondly I would personally like to thank every last one of you who have supported the band over the last 30 years, whether it was on Facebook, or at gigs, or buying our albums, or even those people who have randomly come up to me to say “Hello” in bars and clubs and even on the street.

From the bottom of my heart thank you.

I will still keep this page as active as I can, and will try and respond as quickly as I can to any questions asked.
May your Gods bless you all with Peace, love and brightest of blessings.”
