3. Coal Chamber – Rivals
There can be no greater validation that Nu-Metal is back with a vengeance than the upcoming release of a new Coal Chamber album. Dubbed Spooky-Core(!) during Nu-Metal’s boom, this 4-piece may have originally reunited to ride the nostalgia train but their time together rekindled that old spark and their first album in over 13 years is imminent.
Consisting of 14 brand new tracks, don’t be surprised if Rivals casts a nod to Coal Chamber’s glory days while also maintaining the ferocity found on vocalist Dez Fafara’s bludgeoning Devildriver material.
Coal Chamber may have succumbed to substance abuse and in-fighting all those years ago but they are back to reclaim lost ground, this sh*t is going to be Loco! \m/
