Sabotage – Pishach – Album Review

‘Pishach’, as we all know(?!), means Demon – and flesh-eating ones at that!

And it’s those kinds of pesky demons that India’s Sabotage were messing around with on their debut full length album, cannily titled Pishach. “Demons for Paradise” kicks things off nicely with the kind of Exodus crunch that signifies one thing and one thing only; we’re in old-school thrash metal territory people….and don’t you forget it!

With some playful demonic growls utilised on “Love Undead” and the undeniable bounce of “Victory Or Valhalla” (which is a strangely enjoyable de-tour into trad metal territory), there was a shit ton of fun to be had here and, while Sabotage are, for the most part, sticking rigidly to tried and tested formulas, we couldn’t help but be swept along by the whole thing. 6/10

Sabotage‘s Pishach was released independently on January 13th 2024
