Gorehead – Gorehead – EP Review

Wallowing in filth!

Source // Gorehead

Short (much like this review), sharp and savage, Gorehead’s self-titled EP is a grinding mix of death metal, hardcore punk and inevitably, grindcore. Full of malicious humour and rawer than a pair of sandpapered testicles, “Toed In The Hole” opens with some choice expletives courtesy of In The Thick Of It’s Malcolm Tucker before blasting into merciless pummelling rhythms and schizophrenic vocals.

This pattern reliably continues from then on in; 4 tracks, 10 minutes, nuthin’ but filthy fun guaranteed!

Whoring their wares like some dirty-assed prostitute, this unfettered smut comes encrusted with grimy sonic violence and with no time for fucking-around, absolute carnage is inevitable. Gorehead have quickly established themselves as a remorseless beast and one we welcome with open arms! 8/10
