Cryptworm – Oozing Radioactive Vomition – Album Review

With the entrails of Autopsy and Demilich oozing all over Cryptworm’s latest slab of vomitous foul-smelling fetidness (god damn, we love a Thesaurus), Oozing Radioactive Vomition is a late highlight in what has been a ridiculously good year for disgustingly old-school death metal.

Hot on the heels of 2022’s rather spiffing debut Spewing Mephitic Putridity, the UK’s Cryptworm have swiftly returned with more dank delights for us to savour, and while we admit that such a rapid follow-up to their debut has led album number two to fall a tad short of the quality of their first outing (but only a little) we’re just as enamoured with these miscreants as we were last year. We still can’t understand a single damn word Tibor Hanyi gurgles and we’re more than just ok with that. We’re still repulsed by the filth that engulfs our moistened ears and we’re still more than willing to let this neanderthal three-piece club us over the noggin with their mindless brand of nauseating noise.

Be disgusted. Be revolted. Be anything but ashamed for diggin’ the shit out of such fetid nonsense and revel in the fact that bands like Cryptworm are still churning out death metal as gloriously rancid as this.

Oozing Radioactive Vomition has viciously slapped us in the meat-chops with 35 straight minutes of gloriously mindless death fuckin’ metal….what’s not to like?! 7/10
