Bloodstock Festival have confirmed the mighty Amon Amarth as Friday headliners for 2017 and they’re supported by special guests Blind Guardian! Not too shabby.

However, as fine an announcement as this is, it’s the other bands appearing over the weekend (on the Ronnie James Dio Stage, incidentally) that will excite metallers the most….Testament, Hatebreed, HELL, Whitechapel and death/thrash pioneers Possessed(!) have all been confirmed and that’s ten times tastier than certain (ahem) other announcements made earlier this week.

Nice one Bloodstock, you’ve already won 2017 at the first time of asking!
