Secret Illusion – Winds Of Tomorrow – Single Review

Source // i.ytimg.com

Acting as a stop-gap between last years Change Of Time album and new material set to arrive in 2016, Greek Power Metallers Secret Illusion have a new single to pedal and if the more melodic end of  Helloween’s oeuvre puts a smile on your face then “Winds Of Tomorrow“should provoke a mile-wide grin.

Heavy use of semi-cheesy 80’s Metal keyboards are undercut by some killer kick drums and a soaring vocal performance from veteran performer and new recruit Vasilis Axiotis (Phantom Lord, ex-Nigel Foxxe’s Inc., ex-Perpetual, ex-Persona Non Grata). It’s Power Metal – nothing new here – but “Winds Of Tomorrow” is performed with 100% passion and commitment.

Meat and potatoes Power Metal then but meat and potatoes can be rather tasty so you won’t hear us complaining 7/10
