Ballsdeep – A Life Less Overrated – Single Review

A band that's underrated!

Source // Ballsdeep

The UK’s Ballsdeep generally provide chest-crushing grooves and grit-your-teeth blunt force trauma in riff form and new single, “A Life Less Overrated“, maintains that modus operandi exquisitely.

This type of groove metal is a cathartic experience when delivered well and Ballsdeep are experts at diving in at the deep end and emulating the cream of the genre. Overflowing with savage screams that last for an eternity and a sense of monstrous rhythm that’s practically duplicitous in its glorious simplicity, “A Life Less Overrated” is a primer that prevails and if this is anything to go by, Ballsdeep’s forthcoming album (more about that below) is going to be a 2016 neck-wrecker of epic proportions!

The UK’s answer to Lamb Of God? You betcha!  8/10

“A Life Less Overrated” is taken from the new album …And On The Eighth Day, which will be released on April 8th 2016. The album has been produced, mixed and mastered at Frameworks Studios, Birmingham by Simon Reeves (Napalm Death, Carcass, Cathedral).

2. …and on the eighth day
