Described by the band themselves as “a progression from the Forgotten Dreams album, (with) the music similarly varied as is the lyrical content, although there is more of a purgative theme – a sort of catharsis”, Not Guilty is due for release in April and with two samples of their new material already available, it’s shaping up to be another giant step forward in Salem’s revival.

If there was any doubting Salem’s importance – in not only NWOBHM’s formative years but also in ushering in a new golden age for the genre – then this eagerly awaited new album will extinguish all fears; high stakes indeed but Salem have enough years behind them and enough songwriting prowess to make this one of 2016’s must hear NWOBHM releases.

Salem are guilty of only one thing and that’s never giving up on their dreams; their time has come!

You need to see these guys in a live environment to fully appreciate their authenticity and where better than at the NWOBHM night on Saturday, April 30th in Northwich, Cheshire. Salem feature as part of a 4 band bill alongside Diamond Head, Witchfynde and Spartan Warrior….a heavy-duty lineup if ever we saw one!

Before that, you can catch Salem at their hometown gig in Hull on Friday 30th January! The Trog Bar Tribute Band Night at O`Riley’s Music Venue sees Salem headlining the event with very special guests Skarlett Riot and Broken Glass.

Witness the NWOBHM revival for yourselves, it’s only going to get better.
