Sun Of The Endless Night – Knee Deep In Devils – Single Review

There's a new UK thrash band in town....and Sun Of The Endless Night be their name!

There’s a new UK thrash band in town….and Sun Of The Endless Night be their name!

Fronted by the inimitable Si Cobb (he of the almighty Anihilated), this politically-charged, technically audacious thrash metal outfit also features current and ex-members of Suicide Watch, Stampin’ Ground and Freebase; so their pedigree ain’t under question, right!!

“Knee Deep In Devils” may be the first track taken from their forthcoming debut album, but it’s clear that this is a band with plenty to say and the means in which to convey it. And, at just over 2 and a half minutes, you get the idea that Sun Of The Endless Night are plenty pissed at the state of the UK and they’re not going to fuck about when it comes to putting across their point!

A Kreator-esque dive into late 80’s thrash – but with a modern sheen and social/political edge – “Knee Deep In Devils” is catchy, angry and intelligent. Frankly, this is a ferocious introduction and it’s no surprise that the veterans behind this band feel the need to speak out in such a manner. With our country in such a state of mass divide, it often falls to the most extreme forms of art to speak the uncomfortable truth. This is where Sun Of The Endless Night come in and we’d be surprised if their full length album doesn’t touch a nerve with both its subject matter and its blistering thrash.

Head over to the Sun Of The Endless Night Facebook page and have a listen to “Knee Deep In Devils” for yourselves….you will NOT regret it! 8/10
