Haiduk – Demonicon – Album Review

A tremolo-fed blast of old-school blackened filth!

Haiduk is the work of one-man death metal miscreant Luka Milojica and before you roll your eyes at the ‘one-man’ moniker, know that Demonicon kicks ass, and sounds like the work of a 4-man wrecking ball!

An outburst of pure Morbid Angel meets early Slayer savagery, Demonicon is a tremolo-fed blast of old-school blackened filth, conveniently wrapped up in a demon-adorned casket. Sure, there’s little variety here but you’ll be too busy enjoying having your ears kicked in to care about it!

Handling all instruments and vocals with consummate ease, Haiduk/Luka Milojica has put together an impressive release, utterly unsubtle and blissfully in awe of extreme metals finest proponents.

With a focus on the endless battle for life itself, Demonicon is undeniably and satisfyingly sadistic and should endear itself to anyone in awe of primal savagery! 7/10
