Underwing is a new and exciting hard rock band based in Arendal/Grimstad, Norway formed by four individuals with a shared vision of creating a unique musical expression.

Inspired by the last five decades of musical endeavors, Underwing’s soundscape can be described as a merger between the groovy rhythms found in 70’s rock, the melancholic atmosphere of 90’s grunge and the sonic complexity of modern progressive metal.

With a lyrical message firmly rooted in an existential, metaphorical landscape, Underwing gives their listeners an opportunity to reflect over how challenges faced in life can be a source of empowerment and growth.

The quartet entered the studio in June 2016 commencing the recording of their self-produced, five-
track debut EP, Kaela Upsweep, slated for a physical and digital release early 2017.
