Ritual Festival Adds Two New Acts To Next Years Event!

Source // Ritual Festival

Ritual Festival, which aims to be bring the best in doom and death metal to Leeds, have announced that Southern Lord’s unhinged extremists All Pigs Must Die have been added to a bill that already boasts Ihsahn, Misery Index, The Afternoon Gentlemen, Crepitation, Corrupt Moral Altar, Conjurer, Serpent Venom and Groak.

They will be joined by Leeds experimental, noisecore outfit Canvas who will reform especially for the festival. Their live shows were legendarily intense, a writhing mass of violent noise, blood-letting, high gain, volume and striking visuals. Canvas imploded in 2000, less than a year after their debut album Lost in Rock was released, but their influence on the scene never waned with two of the band then forming the progressive 4 piece, Humanfly. Now they’re back for a one-off show at Ritual to remind everyone what intelligent, brutal hardcore can and should be.

Ritual Festival takes place on Saturday 8th April 2017 and will be preceded by an official pre-show on the Friday in Leeds at Belgrave Music Hall featuring Bolzer, Fen, The Infernal Sea & Sathamel.

Line-up so far:

Ihsahn (UK Exclusive)
