Children Of Bodom Part Ways With Guitarist

Children of Bodom have confirmed that their guitarist of 12 years, Roope Latvala has left the band. Anyone with a love of old-school Thrash will know that Roope was an original founding member of pioneering Finnish Thrash Metal band Stone and his expertise will surely be missed from Bodom’s ranks.

The band made the following statement regarding Roope’s departure:

“As we parted ways with no bad blood, we wish him nothing but the best and thank him for allowing us to share the last 12 years of our lives with him. Hope you know that this will not affect the upcoming shows or the new album as we recorded it as a four piece and it is already mixed, mastered, heavy as shit and ready to go!”

It appears the band are confident that Roope’s departure will not affect their future commitments but his shoes are pretty big ones to fill!
