Italian Thrash machines Eversin recently released their most accomplished album to date in the shape of the mighty Trinity: The Annihilation….so what better time to throw some questions of biblical proportions their way!

1. So….what are Eversin up to then?

Ignazio Nicastro (Bass): “Well, Eversin is a Technical Thrash Metal band from Italy born in 2008. Since our birth we have tried to play our own music and create our own musical personality. We are not interested in sad tributes to the past or in sad revivals. Today, after three albums and a lot of shows – and after sharing the stage with some of the most important Metal bands on the planet – well, maybe we could say that Eversin is a good band with a little experience. But it’s a long and winding road….

Angelo Ferrante (Vocals): “Eversin is a band made by four friends who have fun playing Thrash Metal, believe in their music, give the best on stage and try to give the best to the people who support them.”

2. Which album/artist/gig/experience made you first realise you ‘Worshipped’ Metal?

Ignazio: “In 1992 my mom gave me a gift: Fear Of The Dark. And my life changed.”

Angelo: “It was 1984 and Powerslave was just out. That album changed my life.”

3. Name the one album that epitomises Heavy Metal over all others.

Angelo: “Reign In Blood by Slayer. Not just a Thrash Metal album but the sound of the apocalypse in 28 minutes of madness.”

Ignazio: “Master Of Puppets.”

4. Which guilty pleasure album do you listen to the most? Be honest now.

Ignazio: “Maybe something from The Silent Enigma by Anathema or “People from Ibiza” by Sandy Marton!!! Ahahahahah!!!”

Angelo: “Uhm, Never Neverland by Annihilator (a cracking album – Ed) or Bark At The Moon by Ozzy.”

5. You have one opportunity to introduce your band to the entire world, which album from your back catalogue do you blast them away with?

Ignazio: “TRINITY: THE ANNIHILATION. No doubts.”

Angelo: “TRINITY: THE ANNIHILATION.”

6. You find yourselves booked on a mammoth, 12 month, non stop, around the world tour, what 5 essential items do you take with you in order to survive?

Angelo: “My cell, Xbox One, my pillow, ears bend and 20 hours of video of my two children.”

Ignazio: “Well…a psychologist, some songs by Megadeth or Slayer, a pocket WC (!!!), condoms and laxatives.”

7. What’s been your most memorable experience on the road?

Angelo: “I will try to explain how I felt taking the stage at Rock Off Festival the first time we played in Istanbul. I was ready to enter the stage, the guys were awaiting me. So, charged like a spring, I enter the stage. Once on, I hear the strongest roar I ever heard. It was the crowd. I promise…I believed someone else entered with me and I started looking for him, turning my head again and again…but the roar was for me. Holy fuck….pure adrenaline.”

Ignazio: “It was 2014, after a gig with Destruction. Back in the hotel I feel the need to open the window….that fucking room was so hot. So, I go towards the window and I try to open it. I try once, twice, three times….at the fourth time I start screaming “you, fucking bastard, open…shitty, fuckin’ window, I hate you, fucking piece of shit…” and I started kicking violently. Suddenly, Angelo knocks at my back and says: “hey bro, take it easy…it slides, it’s a sliding window”. Ahahahaha.”

8. You’re given the chance to handpick the ultimate 4-piece Rock and Metal supergroup (living or deceased). Who’s in the line-up?

Angelo: “Dimebag Darrell, Dave Lombardo, Tom Araya and Robert Trujillo.”

Ignazio: “Paul Bostaph, Steve Di Giorgio, Chuck Schuldiner, Tom Araya.”

9. Hard Rock and Heavy Metal is blatantly the greatest thing ever invented but what’s the second greatest invention of all time?

Angelo: “Beer.”

Ignazio: “Boobs.”

10. It turns out Ozzy’s luscious long hair is imbued with time-travelling qualities and just one stroke of his lion’s mane can transport you back to any Rock/Metal gig of your choice. Who do you go and see?

Angelo: “Eversin sharing the stage with Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica and Testament on one of their big tours in ‘90.”

Ignazio: “Iron Maiden at Castle Donington in 1992 with Eversin as opening act.”
